SWIMMING STROKES: The St. Pete Beach Aquatic Center is registering adults for swimming stroke clinics, which will focus on technique, development and refinement. Clinics are designed for those participating in triathlons, long distance or master events. One-hour clinics will be held today, March 13, March 27 and April 10. Martin Edward Grossman, convicted of murdering a state wildlife officer in 1984 when she found him with a stolen gun, paid for that crime with his life shortly after 6 p.m. Tuesday, when he was executed by lethal injection at Florida State Prison in Starke. The U.S. Supreme court refused to block his execution, clearing the way for what the victim's family called closure.
